Words & Actions

Words can mean a lot of things these days... Growing up in Missouri, I've always been a "show me" type of person. It's easy to say I miss you but when you get the opportunity to spend time with that person or make memories you ignore and take it for granted.
It's easy to say I value your opinion or thoughts on a topic but ignore it and move past it...
I'd be remiss if I didn't say I'm concerned about the next generation coming up, so many are so tied into their devices, their social media, and their digital world that they are blinded to what is right in front of them until it's too late then they are filled with so much pain and regret it overtakes.
Growing up; we had our electronics, we had our Xbox systems and such but we also had the outdoors, we had parents that would kick us out and say go figure out something to do because they valued the meaning of fresh air, being a kid, being outdoors, being away from all the drama and CRAP.
So saying all that to say this... Maybe instead of saying "I miss you" do something about it. Instead of saying "I wish we did (this)" do something about it. Instead of "maybe tomorrow" it takes priority today... You see you never know if there will be a tomorrow, next week, next year. Time is way too short and trust me you don't want the regrets of saying after the fact "I wish" because you could have had it, you just chose not to.
