Senior Year
Hey again, it's been a while, but I'm still here kicking and sometimes screaming, but that's okay... My baby girl, not so baby, is starting her senior year of high school tomorrow morning, and as I normally do find myself sitting on the couch thinking about all the memories and moments. She's growing up, not yet fully grown, but she's getting there.
Just a few weeks ago, she got me on a trip to Walmart and saw a cute Hello Kitty backpack and decided to grab me and proposition me like she normally does in her sweet daddy's girl fashion... Dad, I'll let you pick any of these three or four options if you help get me my senior backpack for her senior year... At first, I didn't want to do it, to be honest. But after thinking about it for a few days, I found myself looking... No matter how frustrated I get with my kids, no matter how many times I find myself hurting for whatever reason, I love them so incredibly much.
So here we are, she got her Hello Kitty backpack and lunch box, while also in dad fashion, I picked up some Hello Kitty post-it notes and some pens and pencils. My sincere hope is that she will have the best possible year at school and make the most of what she has here and grow both personally but also spiritually, cause she has such a great calling on her life.
